Our affiliation with KSA (Kitchen Specialists Association)

 

Sonae Arauco, known locally and in the global wood-based panel industry, is a member of the South African Kitchen Specialists Association (KSA). 

 

What is the Kitchen Specialists Association (KSA)?

Kitchen Specialists Association (KSA) is a national association, with offices in Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape, which oversees the kitchen industry from well-respected kitchen manufacturers, associated suppliers, to installers and consumers.

 

Their mission "is to create a professional and stable trading environment in which the industry can prosper and consumers can enjoy peace-of-mind".

 

To realize their mission, becoming a registered member of KSA, is no easy feat. When applying to be KSA members, companies – whether a supplier such as Sonae Arauco, or a manufacturer and installer – will have their references thoroughly checked and scrutinised and they must meet certain minimum standards, have been trading for at least 3 years and already have a good reputation within the industry.

Sonae Arauco‘s association with KSA

We are immensely proud of our affiliation with KSA and that we have been a member since 1998. To retain this association, we must continue to adhere to their other strict basic requirements of :

  • having a showroom;
  • being registered in terms of South African law;
  • being registered for VAT.

 

And, most importantly of having consistently

  • provided an exemplary service in the supply of our wood-based decorative panels;
  • provided high quality workmanship;
  • conducted ethical and honest business practices.

 

What are the benefits of being a KSA member?

We feel that being a KSA member gives us the edge over our competitors as consumers recognise our membership as indicative of quality craftsmanship, professionalism and ethical practices in the kitchen industry. 

 

Being a member also gives a kitchen manufacturer, supplier, such as Sonae Arauco, or reputable installers the opportunity to have a say in the future of the industry and KSA policies, access to other KSA members, like top manufacturers, to receive sales leads, free publicity via the KSA website and newsletters, and updates on the latest industry changes and regulations.  

 

Why should consumers use a registered KSA member?

By using a KSA member, provides consumers extra security as the member has already successfully undergone the KSA‘s evaluation process.

 

If consumers utilise the services of one of KSA‘s registered members and they are not satisfied with the workmanship, they have recourse through KSA, who will investigate a complaint, if legitimate, and attempt to resolve the issue to the fairness of both parties.

 

Should there be a dispute, or if the consumer is wary of handing over funds to a member, the KSA has a secure holding account where consumers may deposit funds free of charge provided the kitchen company is in agreement. This protects the consumer‘s funds and engenders trust between both consumers and its members. 

 

Being a registered member of the KSA allows kitchen manufacturers, suppliers, such as Sonae Arauco, or installers to call themselves kitchen specialists and affords protection and other valuable benefits to both consumers and members alike.
